The area under the kitchen sink is oddly shaped, often damp, and interrupted by pipes — which is exactly why it tends to become a chaotic dumping ground for cleaning supplies.
Measure around the pipes first
Before buying any organizer, measure the space on either side of the plumbing. Most under-sink storage fails because it was chosen for a rectangular space that doesn’t actually exist under most sinks.
Use a pull-out caddy for cleaning supplies
A sliding caddy or bin brings everything into view and within reach without requiring you to kneel and dig past bottles stacked two or three deep.
Add a tension rod for spray bottles
A tension rod mounted a few inches below the top of the cabinet lets you hang spray bottles by their trigger handles, freeing up the entire floor of the cabinet below.
Line the base with a removable tray
Leaks happen. A shallow plastic tray or liner protects the cabinet floor and can be lifted out and rinsed instead of scrubbing the cabinet itself.
Keep a designated ‘trash’ zone separate
If trash and recycling bins also live under the sink, use a divider or separate section so cleaning supplies don’t end up shoved against a garbage bag.
Under-sink storage is one of the highest-payoff areas to organize because it’s used daily but almost never planned for — a little structure here goes a long way.
